The Walkerville Foreshore Committee of Management met on Thursday May the 20th.
At May’s meeting, the committee made the following decisions:
- BOOKING CAPACITY: The committee approved increasing booking of the camping reserve from 60% to 100% capacity from 3rd July, the day bookings open for the peak season.
- FEE INCREASES: The committee approved a 2.5% increase in camping fees, rounded to the nearest dollar, effective from 1st July 2021. This is roughly in line with CPI over the two years since the last fee increase.
- CAMPING RESERVE OVER WINTER: It was decided to leave a small section of the reserve open through the winter. Approximately 20 sites and toilet block one will remain open for July & August.
There were also updates on the following:
- WALKERVILLE SOUTH WALKING TRACKS: Work on repairing several tracks started in early May and is ongoing.
- NEW RANGERS: Sandi and Gavin have fitted in easily and will be working on various maintenance tasks in the winter months
