General Information
The Walkerville Foreshore Camping Reserve stretches for 1km along the western edge of Waratah Bay at Walkerville North. It has 128 sites, powered and unpowered, suitable for Tents, Caravans and Campervans. In addition there are two bungalows at site 34 & 37 that sleep four people each.
Located right on the foreshore overlooking the beach it is quiet and peaceful location for families and friends.

Fire Restrictions in Force
March 28, 2026
CAMP FIRES NOT PERMITTED
As of Monday 27th October 2025 – until the end of Tuesday April 7 2026
Fires are not permitted.
This includes – Solid fuel BBQ’s
E.G. Webber solid fuel BBQS & Charcoal Grills

No fires of any kind are permitted except at the times and in the places approved by the Managers.
We have local laws overlaid upon & prohibiting fires during the CFA declared Fire Danger Period for South Gippsland shire.
Fire Ban in Camping Reserve
Summer season fire ban is now in place.
NO camp fires are permitted.
Late Checkout Fee
Checkout time is 11am. A $50 fee will be charged for late departures. Check out means all guests, vehicles and equipment have exited the Camping Reserve boom gate by 11:00am.
No Rock camp fires
Building Fires pits with rocks is prohibited. Rocks are prone to exploding due heat and present a safety hazard when mowing sites. Fire drums only.

Non Potable Water
All water in the camp ground is untreated so please bring your own drinking water
Pets are not permitted
Firewood Collection
Collection of firewood within the Camping Reserve is prohibited.
Fire Danger Period
No campfires are permitted during the CFA’s declared fire danger period for South Gippsland.

Tree Guards
As part of our revegetation program guards have been placed around some trees to protect them and ensure that they grow. It is important that these guards are not removed or damaged
