From 11:59pm on 16 September, regional communities progressed to the Third Step of the Victorian Government Roadmap to Reopening policy. The Walkerville Foreshore Reserve Camping Reserve will open at a reduced capacity for Regional Victorians from Monday 21st September to 26th October 2020. Camping beyond this date will be confirmed at a later date or when the next step of the Victorian Government’s Roadmap to Reopening has been reached. Opening of Cup weekend and peak summer holiday bookings will also be announced when the next step has been reached. Release of Easter and Labour Day weekend 2021 bookings are on hold until further notice.

Due to the recent changes to the restriction levels in Victoria there are some important things to know before you come to Walkerville.

Current First Step restrictions apply to Melbourne metropolitan areas therefore we will NOT be accepting any bookings from people who live in these areas. Exercise and recreation will not be a reason to travel into or out of these areas.

  • It is compulsory to wear a mask within the Walkerville Foreshore Camping Reserve.

  • We are open and accepting bookings from people who live within Regional Victoria as shown on your drivers license.

  • Up to 10 people can gather in outdoor spaces such as public playground, BBQ areas, beach, kiosk, communal campfires etc while staying 1.5 metres apart

  • Campsites and accommodation will be open to residents of Regional Victoria. Bookings can be made online with a maximum of your nominated household bubble requirements.

  • Communal facilities, including toilets, showers and BBQ’s, will be open.

  • There is a Covid declaration form attached to the reminder email that must be completed and returned before check in. No admission to the camping reserve is allowed without a signed declaration form returned.

  • The reduced capacity has been achieved by blocking off sites. Blocked sites in the booking system will be indistinguishable from booked sites. Both will appear in red as unavailable.

All bookings are subject to change or cancellation in accordance with government regulations at the time of the stay and under these circumstances a full refund will be offered.

All other government directives such as social distancing, not visiting the Reserve when unwell and personal hygiene/hand washing etc must be adhered to all at times.
